The Team

Aaron started his career at a "Big 4" Chartered Accounting firm, within the Private Client Services team, which specialises in management, accounting and taxation services, for small to medium sized entities. 

After a number of years with the firm, Aaron moved to London and took up a role with US Investment Bank "Wachovia", specialising in forecast modelling and deal structuring within the Structured Products team.

Aaron then moved to Swiss Bank "UBS" as part of Global Fixed Products, dealing with their income reporting on a day to day basis and providing guidance in relation to the "Global Financial Crisis".

In 2009 Aaron moved back to NZ to join Terry in the accounting practice, instilling his own ideas and taking over the day to day running.

Aaron sits on a number of Advisory boards, assisting clients with the management and strategic decisions within their businesses. 

Aaron also sits on the Xero Practice Advisory Council, assisting Xero with future development ideas. 

In 1992 after a number of years working both overseas and in New Zealand in senior accounting and management roles Terry Carter left the commercial field to establish the public accountancy practice of Terry J Carter & Associates Ltd.

Prior to establishing the accounting practice, Terry was the Group Managing Director of a large and diversified Automotive and Marine importing organisation. During this period he gained considerable experience in mergers and acquisitions, group restructuring, business planning and commercial operations and management.

This background has given Terry the ability to share his commercial experience with our many clients and has been of assistance to them in adding value to their business.

Along with Terry's consulting role within the practice, Terry also acts as a Director on a number of Company Boards.
